For a few years the KTP has developed different simulation programs within the scope of their research foci. The programs listed here have been created in cooperation with industrial partners and illustrate in each sector the current state of research.

BEEM – Calculation of the feeding process in Single Screw Extruders BBEM is a tool which can be accessed free to calculate the feeding process in single screw extruders.
Paderborn Injection Moulding Simulation (PSI) PSI offers a tool of the design and optimization of the screw geometry for the injection moulding process. Besides different screw concepts, there are also varying shear- and blend components as well as non-return valves available.
PAM- Paderborn Material Database The Paderborn Material Database is a software tool to administrate and evaluate material data in the field of polymer science.
REX – Computer-Aided Extruder Design REX is the pendant to PSI regarding the singular screw extruder. Here, it is also possible to calculate all common screw concepts. Additionally, it enables to design a degasification extruder.
SIGMA - Simulation of co-rotating twin screw extruders SIGMA is a tool for performing the simulation on co-rotating double screw machines which aids to evaluate and optimize the modular screw design.
